"It fills me with huge pride that I can carry on the business which Dad (Andy) started some 32 years ago.
Over the 32 years of trading, Dad has not just acquired clients but forged many friendships and I have had the pleasure of taking on these connections over my years in the business and I look forward with excitement to continuing these relationships. It’s these close working relations that have meant customer satisfaction and perhaps more importantly customers best interests have been at the core of the business and that focus remains ever present going forward.
As well as this customer support we provide, we remain as competitive as ever for a small business in what is an extremely saturated market. With ‘Brexit’ looming, we enter a time of uncertainty for businesses (especially in the vehicle market where import is so heavily relied on) and it is our aim to ensure that this competitiveness remains entering into next year and beyond.
There has been a lot to endure this year for businesses, but I am certain that more prosperous times are just around the corner for us all. At Southern Motor Contracts we are pushing forward with new technology which will only enhance the service we can provide to customers and with that in mind, I personally look forward to next year and seeing where it takes us.
Finally, I would like to put business to the side and on a personal note congratulate Dad on what he has achieved in 33 years with Southern Motor Contracts. Founded in 1988 on the principles of friendly, flexible and responsive customer service that still guide our business today, Southern Motor Contracts under his leadership has grown from a small independent contract hire and leasing company into a successful fleet, vehicle rental, fleet management and vehicle financing provider with customers of all sizes, sectors and fleet requirements across the country who have helped build the foundations of where we stand today. Dad has taught me a great over the years and it is my every intention to take these lessons and experiences and carry them on into the next chapter for the company. So from me, enjoy the retirement… you’ve earned it!"
Congratulations Mark!!! And congrats to Andy on his retirement!
